22 Ðegree Halo at Tremblant

Описание: Have you ever seen a 22 Degree Halo while Snowkiting?
Following the reading of the Wind forcast and the information about the Lake Surface we called all our passionate snowkite friends for the Biiig Rendez Vous!
The Presence of the 22 Degree Halo coupled with amazing skiing and snowboarding conditions in Light wind was a breathtaking journey!
I was with a 15m Sonic3 Flysurfer with 212 cm SG FIS Atomic Skis and all the rider were with kites of 15m size or larger with Race skis or Snowboards Free Ride and Race.
Wind was light between 5 and 15 knots.
We were on Lac Tremblant Nord, Quebec, Canada

A 22° halo is an atmospheric optical phenomenon that consists of a halo with an apparent radius of approximately 22° around the Sun. It forms as sunlight refracted by millions of hexagonal ice crystals suspended in the atmosphere.
