so to celebrate i decided to. do this? honestly i started this a few weeks ago and then forgot and then finished clip selection last week and then forgot and then the other day was like OH, I CAN DO THIS? so then i did lol. this is the longest edit i've done in uh. quite a long while? it was always intended to be very raw which made things somewhat easier on me but still, this is LONG. i also realized all of my seisub edits so far have been from subaru's perspective, so i wanted to do one from seishirou's. i don't love this song, but it was fairly easy to edit all things considered, and the lyrics are certainly fitting enough. picking which voice lines to use was fun - i actually really like the dub for x, it is obviously very old at this point but a lot of the VAs are actually still in the industry if not still voice acting, and you can definitely still hear their talent in it.

i always wish the anime would have shown the meeting on rainbow bridge the way it happens in the manga - seishirou behind subaru, subaru despite everything being still him, telling seishirou that the ashes will fall on his hands... that's where seishirou's "you haven't changed a bit" would have come in, but we don't get to hear subaru's "i have changed. i have been changed by you, i suppose". the intimacy between them still before the fight, despite everything, speaks volumes... i have always loved them sharing a cigarette before everything has to come to an end.... tanabata being Their Day is extremely on point. sighs wistfully.

ANYWAYS did you know that stsg's midpoint between birthdays is ALSO tanabata? between that and the confession we never get to hear at the end of 0, it is UNQUESTIONABLE at this point that gege was inspired by the og toxic yaois. the parallels are off the charts. you aren't subtle gege!!!!!! we already know you read BL!!!!! you are the right age to have read x!!!!! you can't fool us!!!!!
