In Conversation: Dr Andrew Carr and Mr Rory Medcalf

paper in the Strategic and Defence Studies Centre's new Centre of

argues for its relevance to today's strategic environment. Though some
see the term as exclusionary towards China, Rory argues that it can
easily accommodate this rising power, and provides clear policy
recommendations for how Australia can contribute to improvements in
