Five of the men found guilty of planning and executing the July 2010 Kampala twin bombings will spend the rest of their life in prison for the heinous act that left at least 76 people dead ands scores injured. That was the verdict of trial judge Alphonse Chigamoi Owiny-Dollo who also sentenced two other men to 50 years in prison for the same charges of terrorism, murder and attempted murder. Justice Owiny-Dollo said he did not hand down the maximum sentence of death because he doesn’t believe that the death sentence is deterrent
