書家 田中逸齋がLA Art Show (2016年1月27日-31日）ロサンゼルス・コンベンションセンターにて実演した巨大(3m x 3m）楷書パフォーマンス。技術的にみても非常に難しい巨大な美しい楷書一文字を書くという新しい書のパフォーマンス。漢字文化圏の文字へ対する概念と、漢字文化圏外の文字へ対する概念のギャップを表現したというモチーフにも注目。今回の書道パフォーマンスは、昨今のようなダンスしながら、あるいはただ筆を振り回すだけのショーではなく、作家としての真剣な普段の制作現場と技術をただ見て頂くという本来のパフォーマンスの追及も表現。
Mr.Issai Tanaka presented the calligraphy live performance at LA Art Show (2016/1/27-31).
The performance was considered 3 structures;
make a difference vs. usual calligraphers’ performance in a way similar to action painting by focusing more on entertainment and showmanship.
write beautiful huge KAISHO (a printed style of the hand written calligraphy) with excellent form on a piece of paper 10 x 10 feet in size.
let everyone feel the impression of the appearance the artwork itself, not language on paper and see only the beautiful form of the calligraphy and not be constrained by stereotypes or bias.
