Anbukumar said 44.84 lakh electors have been identified under the Absentee, Shifted, Dead, Duplicate and Others (ASDD) category during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 exercise. Addressing a press conference in Bengaluru, he said the list has been shared with booth-level agents and political parties for verification, urging voters to report discrepancies. He said over 99% of enumeration forms have been distributed, digitisation has reached 66.35%, and voters should return forms before the August 8 deadline to ensure timely processing.
