Order of Service 22nd February 2026
Welcome and a moment of silence
Call to worship –
The God who commanded Abram to leave his country, kindred, and father’s house for a land He would show him is calling you and I to follow Abram’s example.
Lord, help us to obey and to prioritize You over our worldly security, with Abraham as our example.
Like Abram, God is calling us into a relationship with Himself.
God of love, help us to circumcise our hearts and to live in fellowship with You
God promised to make Abraham a great nation, bless him, and make his name great so that he would be a blessing to all peoples
Faithful God, help us to keep trusting You at all times.

Bible Readings – Genesis 16:1 – 6; Hebrews 10:35 – 39
Now Sarai, Abram’s wife, had borne him no children. But she
had an Egyptian slave named Hagar; 2 so she said to Abram, “The Lord has kept me from having children. Go, sleep with my slave; perhaps I can build a family through her.” Abram agreed to what Sarai said. 3 So after Abram had been living in Canaan ten years, Sarai his wife took her Egyptian slave Hagar and gave her to her husband to be his wife. 4 He slept with Hagar, and she conceived. When she knew she was pregnant, she began to despise her mistress. 5 Then Sarai said to Abram, “You are responsible for the wrong I am suffering. I put my slave in your arms, and now that she knows she is pregnant, she despises me. May the Lord judge between you and me.” 6 “Your slave is in your hands,” Abram said. “Do with her whatever you think best.” Then Sarai mistreated Hagar; so she fled from her.
Hebrews 10:35 – 39 35 So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. 36 You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. 37 For, “In just a little while, he who is coming will come and will not delay.” 38 And, “But my righteous[g] one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back.” 39 But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved.
