Here's something for you drumnerds out there!
I decided to equip my 3 BB's with the same heads, same strainers (exc. the Super Sensitive which has a different strainer system) and applied the same tuning.
It goes without saying that I didn't change the recording setup between the models. No EQing or compression added.
These are the protagonists:
A regular 14" x 6,5" Ludwig Black Beauty, bought around 2005, serial number: 3319501
A Vintage Super Sensitive Black Beauty, estimated to be from the late 80's or early 90's, keystone badge, serial number: 3155033
A Vintage Brass Black Beauty from 1978 (considered THE HOLY GRAIL), B/O-Badge, serial number: 1777137
Heads: Remo Ambassador Coated, Remo Ambassador Snare Side
Cymbals: Paiste
Drums: Ludwig
