NASA's Rocket Hauler Was Built by a Mining Firm

Описание: NASA's two crawler-transporters were built by Marion Power Shovel of Marion, Ohio, a company known for giant mining shovels. Each weighs about 6 million pounds, rides on four double tracks, and burns roughly a gallon of diesel every 32 feet, about 165 gallons per mile. They carried Saturn V and the Space Shuttle, and still roll out rockets today. Source: https://www.nasa.gov/centers/kennedy/... The machines that move the world #shorts
