The work of the 8th Central Pay Commission is progressing rapidly, and this video provides a complete update on what has already been completed, what is currently under process and what is expected in the coming months.

The video explains the official timeline available through the 8th CPC process, including the questionnaire phase, memorandum submission process, departmental data collection exercise and stakeholder consultations being conducted across the country.

The questionnaire phase ran from 5 February to 31 March 2026. Memorandum submission started on 5 March and was initially scheduled to close on 30 April 2026. Following requests from various organisations and stakeholders, the deadline was extended first to 30 May and later to 15 June 2026.

With the memorandum phase now closed, attention has shifted to departmental data collection. Ministries, departments and government organisations have been asked to submit information through the official online data portal. The current deadline for data submission is 30 June 2026.

The video also discusses the physical consultation meetings conducted by the Commission in different parts of the country, including Dehradun, Delhi, Pune, Hyderabad, Srinagar, Ladakh, Lucknow, Bhubaneswar and Kolkata.

One important point highlighted is that organisations and associations which submitted memorandums have the opportunity to participate in stakeholder consultations through their memorandum reference IDs and present their views directly before the Commission.

The video further explains what has been completed so far and what remains pending.

As of now, the following are NOT officially finalised:

• Fitment Factor
• Minimum Pay
• Salary Increase Percentage
• New Pay Matrix
• Pension Revision Formula
• Arrears Calculation Date
• Final Recommendation Structure

The video clarifies that many figures currently circulating on social media are estimates, assumptions, projections or independent calculations. They should not be treated as official decisions of the 8th Pay Commission.

The only confirmed timeline at present is that the Commission is expected to submit its report around April 2027, in line with the 18-month schedule provided during the formation of the Commission.

Even after the report is submitted, the recommendations will require Government approval before implementation.

Watch till the end to understand:

• What stages of the 8th CPC process are complete
• What stakeholder consultations have taken place
• What happens after departmental data collection
• Whether fitment factor has been finalised
• Whether minimum pay has been decided
• Whether salary hike percentage is approved
• Whether pension revision has been confirmed
• What is speculation and what is official information
• When the final report is expected
• How government approval will affect implementation
