On 9th November 2025, Vintage Trains operated their Shakespeare Express charter between Worcester and Stratford, with a return run between Stratford and Birmingham in between the runs from / to Worcester.
This shows 4 views of each working:
7029 Clun Castle storms towards Stratford with The Shakespeare Express from Worcester seen steaming past Olton with class 47 no 47773 on the rear.
1Z77 1016 Worcester to Stratford.
7029 powers out of Wood End tunnel with the 1338 Stratford to Birmingham Snow Hill.
Running tender first after running round at Snow Hill, 7029 and 47773 head the last few miles to Stratford through Henley In Arden with the 1448 Birmingham Snow Hill to Stratford.
Finally, on the return back to Worcester, Clun Castle leads the 1648 Stratford to Worcester Shrub Hill through Danzey.
