Peace and blessings be upon al-Ḥusayn [s], the children of al-Ḥusayn [s], and the companions of al-Ḥusayn [s].

In commemoration of the martyrdom anniversary of Imām al-Ḥusayn [s] and the heroes of Karbalāʾ, aBStudios in conjunction with The Batool [s] Foundation humbly present the first part of a two part production entitled:

‘Will You Visit Me My Lady?’

Dedicated to The Mother of al-Ḥusayn [s] and her grandson The Master of The Age [atf].

Will You Visit Us My Lady?

This year our homes will
jockey to have that light shine,
That light of the new moon
which causes joy to decline.

For the centres are shuttered,
our homes now Ḥusayniyyahs.
It’s here where we will mourn
the gallant heroes of ʿĀshūriyyah.

So gather round children!
Lets put up the cloth of grief.
As we commemorate the
Master of martyrs & their chief.

Here we will in our small groups
cry over Akbar, Aṣghar & ʿAbbās!
Here our tears will fall as we
weep Āl Muḥammad’s great loss.

I wonder this year will we receive
our most honoured guest?
The one who collects our tears,
our gatherings does bless.

I wonder with so many
Ḥusayniyyahs & Zaynabiyyahs,
Will ours be adorned with the
heavenly scent that’s Fāṭimiyyah?

My Lady!
Will you visit us as we weep,
lament along with the Kawnayn?
For what value are our efforts
if your pleasure we do not attain?

And so my Lady in our humble abode
a special spot for you will remain!
For the heart & soul
of our gathering is
your presence
O Umm al-Ḥusayn!
