PCC President Bhakta Das visited Palatpur Panchayat under Dasarathpur block of Jajpur district to understand the problems faced by local residents. Villagers alleged that contaminated drinking water has led to a rise in serious illnesses like cancer and kidney-related diseases in the area.

During his visit, Bhakta Das met families from Muraripur, Nilakanthapur and Palatpur villages who have lost loved ones to these diseases. He also interacted with people currently undergoing treatment and reviewed the ground situation firsthand.

After listening to public grievances, Bhakta Das demanded immediate tap water supply to every household and comprehensive health check-ups for villagers. He assured residents that if the issue is not addressed, the matter will be raised in the Odisha Assembly and the Congress party will continue its fight until a permanent solution is ensured.
