Shin-Etsu AQOAT®
Shin-Etsu AQOAT® (hypromellose acetate succinate or HPMCAS) is an excellent polymer for enteric coating of tablets and pellets.
Since the introduction of HPMCAS for enteric coating by Shin-Etsu in the 1980s, the aqueous coating formulation was continuously improved. The L-Arginine partly neutralized aqueous coating formulation combines an easy, user friendly preparation method with a high polymer load in the coating suspension. The result is a shorter process time.
There are six grades available, which differ in particle sizes (fine and granule) and chemical substitution levels of acetyl and succinoyl groups to obtain pH range dissolutions from 5.5 to 6.5 (for more information please take a look at our AQOAT® brochure).
