Two days, nine volunteers, 181 patients, and 150 devices fitted. A&E Audiology and Hearing Aid Center is proud to partner with Fundación Sonrisas Que Escuchan to give the gift of hearing in Petén, Guatemala. The Central American country is mountainous and rural, making access to quality hearing care difficult. But for most, poverty and education make it nearly impossible. For many years, Dr. Kamal Elliot has brought her team down to help support Guatemala's only audiologist, Dr. Paty Castellanos, in helping those most in need. They share how this visit, just like any other, is a truly life-changing experience.
