Fighter's History: Mizoguchi Kiki Ippatsu [SNES] - Chelnov

Chelnov is the final boss in the game. He is an unlockable playable character.

===== HOW TO UNLOCK CHELNOV =====

Watch the game's opening intro, and when the title screen appears with the announcer shouting "Fighter's History", input the following:

Down, Down, Up, Up, Right, Left, [L], [R]

If you've done it correctly you'll hear Mizoguchi shout. Now when you enter the character select screen, Chelnov will be standing on the right behind Lee and Karnov. Here are his moves...

===== ABOUT CHELNOV =====

Chelnov is the character from Data East's 1988 platform/shoot-em-up game, Atomic Runner. His story is that he was once a scientist who nearly died in a major accident. After he recovered, he received a powered suit in which he dons to fight against evil. In Fighter's History: MKI, he antagonizes Makoto Mizoguchi and plays a role in the game's Mizuguchi story mode.

===== GAMEPLAY =====

Chelnov is an excellent character to use... he is fast in movement, many of his basics (particularly his kicks) have good range, and his specials make him a projectile specialist - lasers, missiles, fire wheels, spiked explosives... and even boomerangs. His basic chains/links into specific specials are good as well.

===== ADDITIONAL INFORMATION =====

---- Game-wise, Chelnov shares the same principle as Karnov, who has also starred in his own game beforehand. Both these characters ended up being a final boss in the Fighter's History games they appeared in.

---- In CPU Battle mode, when you reach CPU Chelnov (after defeating Karnov) his pre-fight intro has CPU Chelnov destroy your trophy... just like Ox did in the other versions of Fighter's History Dynamite / Karnov's Revenge.

---- In the game, his BGM theme is a remix of the Stage 1 theme from his own game, Atomic Runner.

---- The game omits 5 characters from the series - Ray, Jean, Matlok, Samchay and Marstorius.

===== ABOUT FIGHTER'S HISTORY: MKI =====
Fighter's History: Mizoguchi Kiki Ippatsu!! is an exclusive version of the franchise for the SNES, and it is based on the sequel Karnov's Revenge / Fighter's History Dynamite. The game is centered around Mizoguchi, in which he has his own dedicated story mode in it. It features unique modes of play and also some stage backgrounds and character portrait images (character select and winning screens) not seen in any other Fighter's History game.
