Steve Bailey’s Etherial Looper Jam on the New Sadowsky 6-String Fretless

Описание: In this unique session, Steve Bailey, Chair of the Berklee College of Music Bass Department, takes the spotlight with his newly acquired Sadowsky Custom Shop 6-String Fretless Bass—the very first of its kind to move beyond the prototype stage. Known for his groundbreaking contributions to bass pedagogy and performance, Steve dives into an improvised performance using a looper, demonstrating the incredible versatility and expressiveness of his instrument.

This bass is part of an ongoing experiment where Steve’s been testing different tonewoods on his Sadowsky collection, with each bass featuring a unique fingerboard: snakewood, tigerstripe ebony, and maple. While Steve’s already proven the significant tonal differences between these woods, for this session, he’s chosen the maple version. In true Steve Bailey style, he jokes about "writing something about maple… whatever that means" as he lets his creativity flow.
