The easiest way to rank up is to understand how to handle the game's legendary objective spawns. Drednaw, and Rotom can be used to gain an advantage and help you climb the ranks, but you have to know how to play around them. Zapdos creates a lot of complicated situations, but I do have some advice to get you started when it comes time to position for the zapdos fight.
I also recommend that you play as OP of a pokemon as you can. You can totally rank up with anyone you want, but with less than two days left in the season it might be best to succumb to the darkness and start playing a top tier for the sake of gaining more aeos tickets at the end of the season.
