In this Episode we're going to take a look at the problems and the promise of one of the most common strategies in the Artists Studio - Material Transformation. Material Transformation is the process by which an artist attempts to transform and compel perception through the translation of an object from an expected material into an unexpected material. Why is this a common strategy in contemporary art and what is the artist trying to achieve through this process? That’s the subject of Episode 33 of Studio Practice.
