This week winter slows down some of our outdoor work but, it also gives us time to focus on maintenance and preparation for the next big steps in the barn renovation. We are working toward starting on the floor and preparing supports for the large oak beams. But with the excavator currently out of action while we wait for parts, Philippe takes on a full maintenance of our Thwaites dumper to make sure it is ready when work picks up again. In between, Odin and I spend some time in the garden planting strawberries, garlic, and onions, making the most of the winter season.
