Cartagena has been a port for the Spanish navy since 1782 and is still used to this day. Cartagena has a bustling city centre with all kinds of restaurants, museums and retail shopping for all.
Hotels, check out booking.com but i stayed in a boutique hotel, B&B Hotels, an excellent choice in the city centre, costs per night, 56€ mid week 78€ on a Saturday.
