Last video of 2025! January 4th, 2026 is the final day of service for this particular commuter rail service. This was due to its ridership that has plummeted immensely as a result of the recent COVID-19 pandemic. The Minnesota Metro system is replacing this service with express bus service as a more cost-effective method of transportation.
Minnesota officials will lease their equipment to Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) as well as Amtrak to use for its Hiawatha
