In this video Leon unpacks the hidden secrets within the letter Beit!
The second letter causes much confusion. Firstly, in Hebrew, it is written as Beit or Beyt. Beyt is more an ancient form of writing. In English, it is written as Bet.
The second reason for the confusion is that the Beit contains a dot inside the letter and the Vet is exactly the same letter as the Beit without the dot. Therefore, when the dot is present in the letter, it is pronounced with a ‘b’ sound, and without the dot in the letter, it is pronounced as a ‘v’ sound.
