स्वामी अविमुक्तेश्वरानंद किसी भी वक्त गिरफ्तार हो सकते हैं. .स्वामी जी के खिलाफ बच्चों के यौन शोषण के आरोप में FIR दर्ज की गई है. कोर्ट के आदेश पर पॉक्सो एक्ट के तहत केस दर्ज किया गया है. पॉक्सो एक्ट के तहत दर्ज मामले में आरोपी की गिरफ्तारी तय होती है. एंटी सेपेट्री बेल का प्रोविजन भी नहीं होता इसलिए स्वामी अविमुक्तेश्वरानंद के जेल जाने की पूरी संभावना है. स्वामी अविमुक्तेश्वरानंद ज्योतिष पीठ के शंकराचार्य हैं. ये इस तरह का पहला मौका है कि खुद को शंकराचार्य कहने वाले किसी व्यक्ति के खिलाफ इस तरह के घिनौने आरोपों में केस दर्ज हुआ हो.
