Firing at BHU Campus: Students Protest Security Lapses After Bike-Borne Assailants Open Fire

A third-year BA student, Roshan Mishra, who was present during the incident, alleged that the attackers targeted the area outside the hostel. In the aftermath, students staged a protest demanding the immediate resignation of the Chief Proctor, citing repeated security lapses on campus. Although bullet shells were recovered from the scene, students reportedly refused to hand them over to the police initially. The local police have since filed a case against the unknown accused and are currently searching for the assailants. The university community continues to demand tightened security measures to prevent such occurrences in the future.
