The Ministry of Works and Transport has attributed delays in the Busega–Mpigi Expressway roadworks to design changes introduced midway through the project, saying these adjustments have led to cost overruns.
Works and Transport Minister Gen. Katumba Wamala stated that the project will resume following the acquisition of additional funding from the African Development Bank.
