Bursa is a province of Turkey and the fourth most populous city. As of 2020, it has a population of 3,101,833. It is ranked 28th in the world and 1st in Turkey in the 2016 World Livable Cities ranking. It is located in the Southern Marmara part of the Marmara Region, between the circles of 40° west longitude and 29° north latitude. Its old name is Hüdavendigar. It is surrounded by the Marmara Sea and Yalova in the north, Kocaeli and Sakarya in the northeast, Bilecik in the east, Kütahya in the south and Balıkesir in the west.
Bursa, which is one of the most developed cities of Turkey in terms of economy, is also important with its natural and historical riches. The reason why most of the historical artifacts belonging to the founding period of the Ottoman Empire are found in Bursa is that Bursa was the first capital of the Ottoman Empire.
Bursa stands out in the region with its shopping centers, parks, museums and bazaar. In addition, Bursa is the second largest city in the Marmara region after Istanbul. It is one of the few most important industrial cities of Turkey.

Tofaş-Fiat, Renault, Bosch, Peugeot, Karsan Otomotiv, passenger cars and commercial vehicles and Cobra Güleryüz bus factories are located in Bursa. Bursa Automobile Museum, which was established because Bursa is the center of the automotive industry in Turkey, is also located in this city.
