More Than Golf: Laine's Story | AmFam Championship

Описание: Since 2016, the American Family Insurance Championship has raised nearly $20 million for UW Health American Family Children’s Hospital and many local non-profits. With half of proceeds going to American Family Children’s Hospital, the AmFam Championship and Steve Stricker American Family Insurance Foundation support staff, programs, and families at the hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.

Laine and her family have experienced that world-class care first-hand. Laine received her cancer diagnosis at just 9-months-old. Laine's parents, Mark and Hailey, first noticed a small mass behind Laine’s left ear. After testing revealed it wasn't a cold or an ear infection, they learned it was cancer - Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

After several rounds of chemotherapy and months and months in the hospital, Laine is now cancer free and a happy, healthy young girl. As a kind and brave kid who loves horseback riding and playing with her younger sister Nora, cat Norman and puppy Tucker, mom and dad are so proud of Laine. The family can’t say enough about all the doctors, nurses and accommodations at UW Health American Family Children’s Hospital.
