Shortly after the first turn, you will notice a pond and a small peninsula on the left. If positioned correctly and with enough speed, you can hop off the edge of the pond and will be able to make it onto the peninsula. Once you do, then you have completed this shortcut.

Track: Sewer Speedway
Trophy/Achievement: Half-Pipe Karting

For this shortcut, you will need a booster item along with 10 Wumpa Fruit. From the beginning of the track, hang a right on the tunnels. Once you use the boost pads shortly after, keep right and soon after, you'll enter an open waterway area. In this area, you will notice an opening in the wall that's elevated. That is your shortcut.

Track: Papu's Papu's Pyramid

Shortly after ascending the ruins, you will go through a section with a bunch of piranha plants. Once that is finished, you will start driving on the bridge. Instead of driving on said bridge, there will be a small opening on the left that you can jump off at. This houses your first shortcut.

Right after the previous shortcut, you will normally start descending a set of stairs, but if you look to your left, you will notice a small roadway with some randomly scattered Wumpa Fruit. If you jump on that, then you will have this shortcut accounted for.

Track: Tiger Temple
Trophy/Achievement: Let Me in!

This shortcut is located toward the second major U-Turn in the track. You'll notice a golden door that is sealed off. To open this door, you will need to simply shoot a bomb or missile at the door to have it open up. Once it is opened, then you will be able to drive through it.

Track: Polar Pass
Trophy/Achievement: Arctic Hurdler

Toward the latter half of the track, you will go inside a cave and, once you're about to leave, you will notice a small obstruction with an inconspicuous item/Wumpa Fruit boxes on top of the obstruction. This signals the shortcut.

Track: Dragon Mines
Trophy/Achievement: Minekarting

Around halfway through the track, you will notice the track gets cut off by the minekart tracks. This minekart track can be driven on and that is the shortcut. What you'll need to do is drive on a small segment of it without being squashed by a minekart.

Track: Blizzard Bluff
Trophy/Achievement: Winter Time Off-Roading

At the very beginning of the track, you will notice a small crevice to your left. Simply drive through it and this shortcut will be accounted for.

Around halfway through the track, you will notice a small building that you drive through. To the left of said building, you will notice an opening in the scenery and a small ramp. This is the first shortcut and easily the most difficult to pull off. You will need to gain a lot of speed before attempting this jump. So, grab 10 Wumpa Fruit and a booster item.

Shortly after jumping the frozen river, you will notice a small crevice in the walls that is blocked off by a small single-post fence. There are two of these and each will count as a shortcut. Thankfully, you won't need as much speed to jump over these fence posts.

Track: Cortex Castle
Trophy/Achievement: Dungeon Vaulter

Toward the end of the track, you will go inside the castle and, if you look carefully, you will notice a small runway that is slightly broken off at the beginning. This is your shortcut, but you will need to jump to it.
