Motivation is one of the keys to achieve certain goals in life. It is imperative to understand the science behind motivation, to be aware of the basic needs of child learners, and to acquire strategies to meet their needs. In this session, we will introduce you to the theories behind motivation, specifically: how the motivation system develops both intrinsically and extrinsically, research-based studies on different types of motivational approaches, and some practical ways for parents, teachers and caregivers to foster positive motivation.
