Maximum Score - Dangerous Dave - ADG Pro 11

Описание: MAJOR UPDATE! So, it turns out that I should've been testing the scores and lives past 99,999 more closely because... no, the score is NOT tracked properly past 99,999, but you can STILL get extra lives, so what's actually going on? Well, I discovered a number of days after making this video that once you hit 99,999, both 0-point items, the gun and jetpack, will now award MAXIMUM LIVES! 8O (Or, just one life, but then it causes other non-zero-point things to award extra lives... it's actually kinda glitchy...)

This kinda means that burning lives after you get to 99,999 is fairly reliable if you can pick up a gun or jetpack after the fact, BUT, given that a couple people now, one in the comments and another over on the VOGONS forums have implemented patches for 6-digit scoring, the results of this video in its present state, along with other corrections below, still applies with those patches in place! ;)

Today for ADG Pro we're taking a look back at the original Dangerous Dave to try and determine what the maximum score WOULD be, if it wasn't capped at 99,999. Unfortunately, the answer is quite a bit more complicated than you might expect...

Additional Information and Corrections:

One person in the comments caught a spot where a particular crown in Level 9 in the pit of softlocking is actually very possible to collect using the wall jump glitch, thus the total Unsafe and Deadly scores should be advanced by 300 to 167,700 and 169,450 respectively! :B

Curiously, although I remembered being able to enter the secret levels over and over again, I tested this and noticed my copy of the game only allows entering a secret level ONCE and then completely prevents entering it again! Combined with there being space for four lives to show up I've got a very funny feeling now there might be more than one version of this game out there...

I unfortunately can't link to the trainer I used to test a few things because I'm pretty sure the website was loaded with incredibly unsafe content. Even my browser was cringing at the resulting ZIP file and I ran numerous scans before I even remotely attempted to execute anything under DOSBox. :P
