Описание: Our adventure to Batumi, Georgia, began in Istanbul, Turkey. After hearing so much about Georgia, we couldn’t wait to explore this city on the Black Sea and discover what all the hype was about!

When we arrived, our first stop was a local Georgian restaurant to savor traditional dishes while waiting for an Airbnb response. It took some time, but we finally settled in and headed out to explore Batumi’s vibrant paseo at night.

The next morning, we walked through Batumi’s streets, marveling at its European vibe—despite being in Asia! From Europe Square to beautifully designed squares and parks, Batumi feels like a mix of cultures. A visit to a cozy bakery introduced us to delicious Georgian pastries, including breaded sausages and potato-filled treats.

We also met two Canadian missionaries working with the Slavic Gospel Organization, who shared their inspiring work. Later, we went on a mission of our own—to find Angelique a second hand Samsung Android phone. Not only did she find the perfect one, but the seller was incredibly kind!

Batumi’s Black Sea coastline is stunning, with a scenic paseo and clear waters. We enjoyed gelato from a familiar Swiss franchise, which reminded us of home. The Batumi Piazza, designed in 2009 by a Swiss architect, was another highlight, showcasing the city’s charm.

We capped off our day with a swim in the Black Sea and an unforgettable ride on the Argo Cable Car, where we enjoyed breathtaking views and a performance by Georgian dancers.

Batumi surprised us with its beauty, warmth, and cultural mix. Is Batumi worth visiting? Absolutely!
