For 2,000 years, the church has used three primary tools to pass on the faith to the next generation: confessions, creeds, and catechisms. A creed is a short statement of our belief that can be memorized.
This Sunday we’re going to look at The Apostles’ Creed. It the oldest creed known to Christianity, developed within the first 200 years of the church.
But WHY does it matter?
The Apostles' Creed gives us the foundation of Christian theology rooted in Scripture. In fact, it highlights ten incredible truths about Jesus from the Bible - truths that have profound implications in our lives. And when you understand these truths, then you’re going to have a deeper love for Jesus Christ.
