I was thinking about work, burnout, early retirement, and the strange pressure we put on ourselves to feel like we’re doing enough when I found myself standing in a quiet cemetery. It reminded me that today is the first day of the rest of your life.
I need to remind myself that I get to be here and live well. It’s terribly easy to forget. That’s crazy, right? Today I talk about making reasonable choices to start the journey to living well.
After 25 years working in HR, I’ve seen how many people quietly struggle with jobs that don’t fit them. This reflection is about perspective, freedom, comparison culture, and the reminder that we can change our lives one small step at a time.
