STARGATE H2 Barrier gate

Описание: The new SMA STARGATE barrier gate with integrated anchorless emergency gate.

SMA road safety designed a very unique system made of preassembled modules which can be easily anchored to the ground.

STARGATE is a H2 Barrier Gate which consists of the following features.

1. Reduced size
The structure is 170 mm wide and totally made of steel. It is made of very light modules which can be easily handled by 2 workers.

2. Reduced working width
STARGATE has been tested in class H2 according to EN1317, and has obtained a working width of W1 during the crash test with the 13.000 kilograms Bus.

3. Pre-assembled modules
STARGATE is supplied in pre-assembled modules of 6 meters each which contribute to shorten the installation, opening and repair time.

4. Fast assembly and anchoring
The pre-assembled and light modules of STARGATE allow a complete installation of 42 meters  in less than 4 hours .

5. Removal in less than 5 minutes
The structure of the pre-assembled units allows the removal of 18 meters by 2 workers in less than 5 minutes.

A full removal of a 42 meters system is provided in 15 minutes.

6. Better visibility at night, and with fog

STARGATE is supplied with a wired system and twilight lamps to improve visibility at night. In addition, fog leds are provided to support safe driving even in adverse weather conditions.

7.   Integrated SMART system

SMA has developed a system that allows the exchange of information between the driver of the vehicle and the road operator.

STARGATE can detect the event (road accidents, temperature change, presence of tails) through a series of sensors distributed along the structure. 

It also sends a real time alert to the vehicles on the road at the same time to drivers, through flashing lamps , and road managers, through a dedicated remote portal. 
SMA portal allows you to exactly identify the site of the event to facilitate rescue operations in record time.

STARGATE is provided with integrated and tested Emergency Gate

1. Anchorless gate

The crash test for the certification has been made on the emergency gate that is supplied not anchored to the ground.

2. Opening Gate 6 meters long

The sliding gate is opened to provide a transit space of 6 meters width.

This allows easier transit for rescue vehicles (Ambulance, firefighters.)


3. Opening in 30 seconds

The sliding gate opens in 30 seconds with 2 workers without tools for removal.

Once the locking elements have been extracted, the module slides easily to the support module.

                                                                          
4. Tested with connection to Concrete F-shape barrier

STARGATE has been tested with direct connection to ANAS NDBA  concrete barrier. Properly developed and supplied by SMA, the connection allows a perfect adaptation to the concrete barrier,  and guarantees zero risk in case of impact.
