In this powerful testimony, Hanan Al-Dosari shares how Jesus freed her from years of violent modesty enforcement. Growing up in Jeddah, from age 12 her father enforced strict hijab and niqab rules through beatings for any violation. At 19, her arranged marriage to Tariq brought even stricter control—he obsessively monitored her covering and beat her for any imperfection. In March 2021 at age 26, both her father and husband beat her severely for accidentally letting her hijab slip at home, leaving her unable to walk for three days. But through a Christian nurse named Grace who treated her injuries, Hanan discovered Jesus Christ who showed her that God's love isn't based on perfect rule-keeping, that she had value beyond her covering, and that freedom from religious violence was possible. In August 2023, she courageously escaped Saudi Arabia with help from underground Christian network. Today, though she lost her family, she testifies that Jesus set her free from fear and showed her God's unconditional love.
