Axel and Octavio said this sort of "Live" is more of an experiment. It's different from most of the official 3D Lives. If you look closely, there may be some differences in quality that wouldn't let it pass as a proper 3D concert.

The premiere was only posted less than one day before release. There was no socmed post about it, and the official Twitter accounts and the talents only brought shortly before release.

From my personal POV, based on what I saw on Twitter and Youtube, the reason why fans got upset about this may be linked to when Holostars didn't get a New Year's Countdown for 2024. Even before that, fans had voiced concerns about how Holostars isn't promoted well. The new year's schedule was the straw that broke the camel's back after their years of patience. Ever since then, fans had been critical about any problems on the management side. The most recent one as of writing is the previous timetables for HoloExpo2025 showing that none of the Holostars' events will be streamed on Youtube (it was almost by the end of the month that they announced streams for Stars in Expo).

We all have our own opinion of the matter. Regardless, remember to stay civil about it.
