A 13-year-old girl from Baker, Louisiana who vanished last week has been found alive in a basement box in Pittsburgh after a dramatic, multi-state investigation that stretched from Louisiana to Georgia to Pennsylvania.
Police say 26-year-old Ki-Shawn Crumity met the teen on Snapchat, promised her “adoption by a trusted adult,” and instead kept her hidden for days, giving her alcohol and edibles before sexually assaulting her multiple times.
A massive operation involving the FBI, U.S. Marshals, Louisiana State Police, and Pittsburgh Police ended Thursday night when officers stormed the home in the Brighton Heights neighborhood and found the girl stuffed inside a box under a sheet.
