Nevada Northern Railway Ghost Train 40 Pony Express Ride Part 5 of 7

Leaving Keystone returning to Ely, Nevada.
Nevada Northern Railway commemorates the Pony Express route and riders. The train stops at Keystone for a Pony Express mail hand-off staged by Ely's own Ghost Riders. This local volunteer group is responsible for the Pony Express reenactment as it crosses White Pine County each year. The Ghost Riders, Tony Zamora & Wendy Anderson, talked about the historic Pony Express and the nationwide Pony Express re-enactments.
Each passenger received a commemorative envelope and stamp to address. They took our letters and placed them in the Pony Express rider's Mochila mail pouch for the ride back to Ely to be mailed. We had a great train ride and a wonderful history lesson as well. Always a great train ride.
