This song is about domestic abuse and a woman finding strength to leave an abusive relationship. It is my hope that a sense of empowerment will be felt by those watching and singing along with the words.
Nobody has the right to hurt you. If you are in an abusive relationship and feel you cant leave, try to understand that your partner does not have power because they are powerful. They have dominance over you through bullying, intimidation, aggression, manipulation and physical, emotional and mental abuse. This is not power. Their actions are not about you, its about them.
