We take an early morning ride on Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, one of the park’s most unique and immersive attractions.

Filmed shortly after rope drop in mid-September, this safari takes us through the Harambe Wildlife Reserve, where animals roam freely across the savanna.

Early morning is often considered one of the best times to ride Kilimanjaro Safaris, since many animals tend to be more active before the Florida heat builds later in the day.

During this safari we spot several animals including:

• African elephants
• Giraffes walking the savanna
• Zebras and antelope
• Rhinos and other wildlife
• Views across the Harambe Wildlife Reserve

One of the things we love about Kilimanjaro Safaris is that every ride can be different depending on the animals and time of day, making it one of the attractions we try to ride multiple times during a visit to Animal Kingdom.

If you’re planning a trip to Walt Disney World, this ride is a must-do and a great attraction to prioritize early in the morning.
