Upcycle KIMONO Into Wide-Leg WRAP PANTS 👖 Kimono Remake DIY Sewing Project

Описание: I take on the challenge of transforming a VINTAGE wool-blend tsumugi style weave KIMONO into a pair of WIDE-LEG WRAP PANTS! I started by cutting the kimono in half, planning to make a wrap skirt, but soon realized the piece was much smaller than I expected, and things didn’t go as planned. Join me as I troubleshoot, take the kimono apart, wash the wool-blend fabric, and sew together something entirely new.

From cutting mistakes and seam adjustments to fitting issues and mid-project design changes, this DIY sewing adventure is full of learning moments! I used leftover kimono fabric to extend the outer leg panels and create the wrap feature, and I share each step of the process as I go. It was definitely an ambitious project, but it all came together in the end. I now have a wearable prototype for my next version!
