Across industries, traditional education is failing to keep pace with the demands of real work. Degrees grow more expensive, even as graduates enter the workforce unprepared for its pace, collaboration, and creativity. In music especially, programs often prioritize theory and credentials over output—leaving talented artists boxed out of an industry built on practice, not paperwork.

That’s what Grammy-winning producers Tor Hermansen and Mikkel Eriksen set out to change. Together they founded LAAMP, a nine-month program designed to mirror how the modern music industry actually works. There are no lectures, no grades, and no gatekeeping—just artists, producers, and writers collaborating daily under the guidance of working professionals. Students make one or two songs a week, receive real-time feedback from Grammy-level mentors, and graduate with 50–100 studio-quality tracks and the network to build a career from day one.

LAAMP’s model captures something universal: when education reflects real work—hands-on, fast-moving, and rooted in mentorship—people learn faster and go farther. By putting talent and experience ahead of credentials, programs like this are proving what’s possible when learning focuses on creation, not convention.
