Jock and J.R. face the fact that Gary doesn’t have the same Ewings guts they do. However, Bobby liked having Gary for a brother and accuses J.R. of driving Gary away. Bobby even states that he’s ashamed of being a Ewing for letting J.R. drive Gary away. Lucy learns that Valene never returned to the diner. J.R. lies to Lucy that Valene asked him for $5,000 to leave without Lucy. Lucy slaps J.R., who states that he got off lucky.
