🍩 Crème Brûlée Donuts Recipe 🍮
Fluffy donuts filled with creamy vanilla custard and topped with crunchy caramelized sugar!
1️⃣ Crème Brûlée Filling
Ingredients:
3/4 cup milk
3/4 cup cream
1/4 cup sugar
4 egg yolks
3 tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp vanilla
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, dissolve cornstarch in a splash of cold milk, then whisk in egg yolks until smooth.
2. In a saucepan, bring milk, cream, sugar, and vanilla to a boil (just until edges bubble).
3. Temper yolks: Slowly drizzle a little hot liquid into the yolk mix while whisking constantly.
4. Cook: Pour everything back into the saucepan. Stir over medium heat until the custard thickens to a slow "plop."
5. Chill: Scrape the custard into a bowl. Press plastic wrap directly onto the surface to prevent a skin. Chill for at least 1 hour until completely cold.
2️⃣ Donut Dough
Ingredients:
3/4 cup warm milk
1/3 cup sugar
2 1/4 tsp yeast
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
1/4 cup melted butter
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
Instructions:
1. In a mixer bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, vanilla, melted butter, egg, sugar, and salt.
