100% my favorite video i've made so far! Really wanted to incorporate more irl or behind the scenes content into my videos. It kinda showed up in the pisces videos but not much. My big project is a lot more focused on the behind the scenes part of shiny hunting but there wasn't much of a middle ground in my content. This was always what i pictured my holiday hunts being, small condensed versions of those big projects.

What doesn't get caught in this video was the sheer uncertainty i had about this project. When i make a video i usually have an end goal pictured. Sometimes that end goal is a detriment because it prevents me from seeing the story from a different light. I tried to keep things as open ended as possible with the challenge. I wanted to capture some irl footage and hunt footage but a lot of stuff i didn't think to capture. The stretch from phase 1 to phase 2 is this big jump in time that felt jarring to work with. I was traveling a lot those two weeks but recorded essentially no footage in between so i left myself with little room to work with.

The other thing that felt weird was the legends pivot i really wanted the video to be about eterna forest but when the most interesting part is the legends hunt for shiny litwick i was unsure about what direction to go in. So i did a ton of encounters in Eterna just to swing it back. I love how it turned out but 2/5 of the shinies are legends and that's hilarious.

The shiny dustox is super cool and will likely get it's own video down the line. Didn't want to take away from it by making it a bigger part of this video. It's a weird trade off because if i made the video longer and focused more on Dustox it would be more relevant to Eterna but since i got it in overtime it didn't matter as much
