I have no information on these toilets or any sign on any maps that they ever existed and don't know much about the area but it is an open greenery and woodland between Woodingdean & Rottingdean and while walking past them I saw this building and thought I would check it out.
Through the gates you can work out in the ladies, 2 WCs and I can work out a HLTP Dauntless (Judging by the lever arm) and through the gate of the men's it is clear there is a Dauntless & a modern ceramic Dudley & slab urinal. Through an open window it is revealed the second toilet in the ladies is also a HLTP Dauntless. If these toilets have closed it must have been recent as the Dudley itself has only been available for around 5 years so I am wondering if these are even council owned and seldom open, their condition isn't too bad and it would be great to visit them while open. A nice find but more information is needed on them. The age is guessed to be 1950s-1960s judging by the age of the nearby houses
Rating: 8/10 (2 points lost as not open)
Council: Would have been Brighton & Hove
