Today, after waking up and tidying away the bedding, I set out to make a wonderful breakfast. I opened the curtains of my small room's windows to let in plenty of sunlight. I turned off the oil lamp and stoked the fire in the wood-burning heater. I prepared the dough for a traditional rural bread and placed it under the korsi to rise.
Then I got the samovar ready and brewed some tea. Using a few tomatoes and eggs, I whipped up a tasty omelet.
