Caen is a city and commune in northwestern France, the prefecture (administrative center) of the Calvados department.
It is located a few kilometers from the coast, the Landing beaches, the famous seaside resorts of Cabourg and Deauville among others, Normandy Switzerland and the Pays d'Auge.
