A look at the large sandy beach of Perran Sands, situated between Perranporth Beach and Ligger Point on the North coast of Cornwall.
Perran Sands is over 1.5 miles long, and is backed by the sand dunes of Penhale Sands, containing the oratory of St Piran, patron saint of Cornwall, who is said to have landed here on Perran Sands in the 5th century, after floating here from Ireland on a millstone.
